Drafts, old ones...

Yea... What's this about? That's it! Drafts. Old ones! See, when I have ideas, but is occupied, or have things to do, or is just too lazy to do research on the subject matter, it'll usually end up in my drafts. And I have lots of them now. Some even interrelates with another. But then again, sometimes (most of the times nowadays), I'm just too tired (lazy) to write. So my loyal fans (doubt that i have any), pls accept my humblest apology :D ;p this entry serves as an explanation on my absence in the blogging world :) so, thatz for now!

itz the middle of the day and i suddenly received an im message from wifey: "link. Good article."
so, followed the link and was brought to a blog by Ustaz Pahrol. i have a read, and indeed it is a good article. it gave readers some points to ponder.
i must say, it is worth reading. even if u r not married, u could learn a few things on living good, happy marriage.

i was listening to the 'zikir munajat' CD in the car. and this phrase came out. 

Firman Allah SWT: "Sesungguhnya dengan mengingati Allah itu hati akan menjadi tenang."

so i dig up the surah. have a read. understand the meanings. and yes... i do feel better.

seeing the headline and u'll be saying "again?! this is old story! eaten it so many times already! have read so many blogs about it!" whatever... u just have to read it again!! ahaha

so, i was browsing old pics to upload/update my old posts (the ones i said i'll update with photos but never had them updated till ???) and i came across these photos. cute little puffs with chocolate/vanilla cream filling. and served with chopsticks! ahah nice marketing touch - sell sushi in a form of pastry. the person who came up with this idea must be very proud of him/herself. and im sure his/her boss would be too. 

it seemed like this twiggy sized 'donuts' really got malaysians hooked. seriously. maybe itz because of the size, u can't get enough of it. VERY bad for some of us in a way... bad for all of us in the long run. if u know what health risk im talking about. really. bad for me when im in the 'sweet tooth' mood. lucky wifey is not so into it. so she keeps my intake in check. tq love :*

then again, everything u eat can be bad for u if u dont control it. so, be wary with what u eat and especially how much u consume them... just a friendly reminder... :)

Jadual Harian Amalan Mulia

previously i have posted about '20 Amalan Murah Rezeki'. i remembered that i posted it. but i dont recall all the details. as the imaam said in his 'khutbah', we need to be reminded again and again on doing deed...

then recently i received another email regarding the matter. the facts are the same but this one comes with a creatively designed reference schedule. itz an interesting approach there - the schedule. but itz rather jumbled or at least thatz how i see it.

but i printed it out anyway and paste it on my cubicle. just to keep myself reminded :)

A deli-cious Birthday

Last Sunday was mama's birthday. we, (nora, kakak and me) agreed to celebrate the event at Delicious, MV. it was nora's idea basically. at first she wanted it be at the Curve. but then upon many considerations, she decided it was too far... and she just went Ikea the day before! so MV it is...

the little puff ball seemed in a good mood that weekend. in fact, she seemed all happy recently. she's ok to mingle with her grandma and atuk - which was a no no all this while =) maybe coz itz grandma's birthday? or she's used to seeing her grandparents that she can recognize them already..? not sure if it had anything to do with the new furniture arrangement at home. hurmmm... anyway, what ever the reason is, im happy that our little puff ball is happy, we are happy, family's happy, everybody's happy. good!

Rumahkah? Resortkah?

one sunday we went to uncle Jamil's house (he's abah's friend since their study years). so, we went to to his house. and i can only register that the crib is a house turned bali resort. really! well itz still in construction but whoa... oh, this build in progress is meant to be guests house. and surau =)

Makhluk Halus yang Durjana

u probably are thinking about spirits and ghosts right now... well, this is  not the 'makhluk halus' that i meant. i'm talking about ants. semut in bahasa malaysia.

those annoying little creepy crawlers! i dont know what they feed on. the garbage's always thrown out. table top, kitchen top's always wiped. what could they possibly be feeding on to spring to that vast amount?! yeah... stop. i  know they have food storage in their nest. but where did this batch of ants come from? i know i poisoned the whole colony previously. zero visibility after that.

now out of no where they came back in abundance. aiiiyooo~ worst part is, they are biting our little puff ball. durjana punya semut! the poor baby had marks like ... i dont know how to explain. there's still marks on her even months after she got bitten. kurang hajaq tul! x kisah la walaupun ko semut... kuang ajaq!

anyway, im going to exterminate the colony again. want to know my secret? well, i used a combination of poisons. see, not all is suitable for every species... so, mix them up... there are 3 types... the gel type, the 'grains' type, and another is the pasar malam type.

combine the 3 in the gel type and leave it at their trail. u'll see that the bait will be swarmed like crazy that u'd want to just spray it with shieldtox. DONT. let the ants take the bait to their nest/s? then, u'll see the swarm decrease after a few days. and ultimately, none will be seen anymore. try it!

p/s: wash ur hands after u handle the bait. itz poisonous. duhh!! and make sure u dont just leave it around where kids might accidentally play/eat it. itz poisonous. double duhh!!

Nursery Room (part 2)

this is a continuation of part 1...

so, below is the list of nursery rooms i've been in and my verdict on the facility. Here goes...

• Gardens, Mid Valley (MV)

Comment: located at both ends of the children’s floor. so far i’ve never been disappointed with its nursery room facility. Clean and comfortable space with basic necessities – baby changing table, a sink to wash, a seat. The toilet is a plus.

• Isetan, KLCC

Comment: everything’s there. Sinks, changing tables, microwave, feeding room, some seats, hot/cold drinking water... this nursery room is certified! What more should i say?!

• Isetan, MV

Comment: more or less like the above except the certification part.

• the Mines

Comment: very bad impression on the matter. Itz dirty, stinky, wet and slippery. i have also commented this in previous post. To the management; pls do something to fix the said matter. Itz supposed to be safe in there!

• Parkson, Pavillion

Comment:

• Bangsar Village II

Comment: went to the one behind ‘illy restaurant’. Itz clean, with basic necessities, and comfortable enough.

Nursery Room (part 1)

mmm? yes. u read it right. topic's 'Nursery Room'. don't get me wrong now. i'm not talking about the plant nursery... or the place where parents leave their children while they work. close... but this is the baby diaper changing room. if u notice in shopping malls, when go to the restroom, u might sometimes see the baby sign?... thatz the one! yeah... parent talk this time hehehe

so, about the nursery room. have u been there? maybe guys who are not parents haven't but hey... when u start to have a child, these rooms are necessary pit-stops. seriously... anyways, i'm just gonna share my experience at the nursery rooms i've been to and my verdict of the place when i was there.

:) this is the first time i'm celebrating Father's Day. Alhamdulillah we got Zara. couldn't be happier. hope she'd grow up well, insyaAllah... heh, guess what? my little Zara gave me a card! well, bought by her mom of course... :) itz actually a birthday card by mistake but nevertheless, thank you both. itz a happy moment. i'm now a father to a beautiful daughter, a husband to a beautiful and loving wife :) Alhamdulillah...

wifey brought a slice of cake into the room singing Happy Birthday song. was quite surprised coz i didnt notice her bringing in (or smuggling in this case) anything resembling a cake box when she came home from work that night. but it was midnight and we're very sleepy after an exhausting day at the office. so we decided to eat the cake when the sun's up.

so the sun came up. i have some places to go and things to do. so basically we did not have that cake that morning.

later in the afternoon we went to Bangsar Village. we went to the Marmalade restaurant for lunch. wifey's treat. we had salad and a plate of lasagna. the food's great. nyum nyum...

today is cake day... since we did not have it yesterday. so in the morning, wifey made me coffee in my mug. notice the mug?? yeah... she got that for me last year :) so, the prop's set, wifey sang me the birthday song again. Zara was excited too heheh :) that little puff ball... next time k Zara... we'll get u a cake on your birthday.

owh, did i mention? i also got a card from wifey... cute, and funny. i never know when she got them. good surprise...

One eyed bandits

well, sometime last week, wifey told me that Mama (her's) fell in the bathroom and bruised one of her eyes. kesian. she had to wear sunglasses to the market. heheh imagine that... diva at the marketplace... =D

then last night, when wifey came home from work, she had infection in her right eye. so itz swollen and is watery and well, constantly developing the yellowish-goldish boogie. so this morning we went to see the doctor for some fix. yeah, she got her meds and MC and all. and she's also restricted from holding zara for at least 2 days.

now comes the worrying part. itz ok having to take care of zara by myself but... eye infection, is INFECTIOUS. yeah she can quarantine herself in the room and all. but would it ascertain that me or zara would not get infected?? as Alpha 5 of the Power Rangers would say: "ai yai yai yai yai..."

i know how infectious it is. had it once while in campus. our room is a petri dish of the germ. not sure who got it first but all three of us got infected. how's that? we didnt even share anything- got our own PC, own bunks, we take different subjects... and yet, we share vampire eyes...

hmmm... just hope zara didnt get infected. pity that baby...
