donut? sushi? donashi??

seeing the headline and u'll be saying "again?! this is old story! eaten it so many times already! have read so many blogs about it!" whatever... u just have to read it again!! ahaha

so, i was browsing old pics to upload/update my old posts (the ones i said i'll update with photos but never had them updated till ???) and i came across these photos. cute little puffs with chocolate/vanilla cream filling. and served with chopsticks! ahah nice marketing touch - sell sushi in a form of pastry. the person who came up with this idea must be very proud of him/herself. and im sure his/her boss would be too.

it seemed like this twiggy sized 'donuts' really got malaysians hooked. seriously. maybe itz because of the size, u can't get enough of it. VERY bad for some of us in a way... bad for all of us in the long run. if u know what health risk im talking about. really. bad for me when im in the 'sweet tooth' mood. lucky wifey is not so into it. so she keeps my intake in check. tq love :*

then again, everything u eat can be bad for u if u dont control it. so, be wary with what u eat and especially how much u consume them... just a friendly reminder... :)

anyway, for those who havent tried them, try it! they're FUN to eat hehehe ;p below is an ad i found. just incase u wanna check out the flavour designs. enjoy!

A deli-cious Birthday

Last Sunday was mama's birthday. we, (nora, kakak and me) agreed to celebrate the event at Delicious, MV. it was nora's idea basically. at first she wanted it be at the Curve. but then upon many considerations, she decided it was too far... and she just went Ikea the day before! so MV it is...

the little puff ball seemed in a good mood that weekend. in fact, she seemed all happy recently. she's ok to mingle with her grandma and atuk - which was a no no all this while =) maybe coz itz grandma's birthday? or she's used to seeing her grandparents that she can recognize them already..? not sure if it had anything to do with the new furniture arrangement at home. hurmmm... anyway, what ever the reason is, im happy that our little puff ball is happy, we are happy, family's happy, everybody's happy. good!

i'll let these photos tell their story now.

Aquaria!!

Once upon a Sunday, Mr. Zul took his family to Aquaria KLCC... a state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. aquarium in the heart of our beautiful (and busy) KL city. -end of intro-
Zara all ready and hyped to go out
so this is... hurmm 2 weeks ago? we went there after deciding that the zoo is just too hot to bring our little puff ball for an outing... well, air cond aside, at least we r sure that there are proper facilities for parents and infants at KLCC. so, thatz y we picked Aquaria :)

started at the entrance, b4 buying the tickets, the staffs insisted that they take your family photo b4 entering. maybe itz just their way of reducing the queue at the ticket booth... or just another way of increasing sales, if u know what i mean... or both. anyway... thatz that...

tickets - free for babies. u get special price if u show them your MyKad. and flat price for senior citizens.
at the piranha aquarium
right after the ticket entrance, there's this red bellied piranha aquarium. then there's a touch and feel section where u can put your hand in the pool and touch/hold the exhibits. i touched almost all of the marine life i can hold in there while wifey had a feel of the 'belangkas'. i dont know what itz called in english. but the staff keep calling it the 'King of Crabs'. so, okie...
baby sand shark
wifey 'cocok'-ing the 'belangkas'
after we've had enough of the touch and feel section, we continued our journey in the land of Aquaria...
electric eel
elephant nose fish? this fish is electric-ky too
electric catfish

Madagascar Hissing Cockroach
Did u know...? the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach is one of the largest species of cockroaches in the world. it is named due its nature of creating hissing sound (usually males) when fighting. this species also, compared to the normal cockroaches we see, is odorless, wingless, and slow.

some seahorses
amazing! the lift brought us to Pulau Redang!
at the Arowana and Arapaima containment
we didnt get to take a good pic with the Arapaima - the biggest freshwater fish in the world. we keep getting blocked every time the fish comes near. itz the fish at the back there. just beside wifey's shoulder.see?

in front of piranha tank
wifey, zara at piranha tank
look carefully... language diversity? ahahah
zara fascinated looking at the fishes
zara got hungry in the tunnel
still feeding zara in the tunnel

at the end of the tour, we landed at the gift shop. got ourselves a fridge magnet as souvenir - chosen by zara. well, we picked 2, and show them to zara. she later reached for one, and that, is our winner! heheh =D all in all, itz a good weekend :)

the Mines, after so long

that morning abah and the family went back kedah. sarah followed too. such a dodo~ asik cuti je uni dia nih. jeles sedikit... anyways, they took a pic b4 heading back to the north. sarah tiba2 malu amik gambar. so not in pic. sorry mgm...

we've not been to the Mines for quite a long time. since we got married i think. the place have changed from what we remembered it used to be. they already utilised the other block for parking space. so, now at least there are more parking spaces than b4.

they've also renovated the mall, having a new wing. it seems like nowadays all malls are extending their spaces with 'new wing' concept. remembered it started with OU, then Pyramid, and now Mines too. somewhere along the way, MV came up with Gardens. did they? or was it already there but i didnt notice? ok. whatever. nvm. point is, the malls are expanding. biz getting better i suppose. hurmm...

ok. this is getting boring. just have too much in my mind right now. i'll just let pics tell their story.

mmhhh, now this pic reminds me... i find that place not 'parents with baby/toddler' friendly. we parked at the new block. they dont have proper ramps and u have to carry the stroller over through certain obstacles just to get to the shopping center. fine. thatz still acceptable. just cant accept the condition of the Nursery Room. perghhh... stink is one thing. but wet and slippery floor too?? come on~! seriously. the management really have to do something about this. itz dangerous in there. (and did i mention it stinks?!)

guess thatz it for now. maybe i'l put up more interesting stories later. so till then, end.

outing with Datuk S's family

hehhe datukship attained through being a grandfather ;p

so the day started with me and wifey getting breakfast for everyone. abah's norm here is to go out early morning for a jog at the park near our house. itz already 9am. mama told us to just get roti canai as itz supposedly quick to prepare and she's already hungry. there goes abah's 8 rounds at the park~ heheh :p

the interesting part starts at the mamak restaurant. we brought zara along with us. as expected, knowing zara - likes to travel. she's excited that we bring her along. and how does she express it? she talks... a lot! all the way... while waiting for our 'tapau' order to be ready. huhuhuuu~ this cutie cutie boo! amongst all the babies at the restaurant, we can only hear her voice :) good sign there. our baby's healthy and happy. thus we too are happy (of course!!) "sukanya bila dia ceeriaa..." know this song? :D

in the afternoon we went to a wedding reception of abah's old friend's son. itz held in Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA) in Damansara. nothing much i can say here as i dont really know the host. but from the host's point of view, itz a good reception. many attended. congratz to u sir!

Zara's outfit to the reception
Zara with ayah
Zara with umi
then we (the whole family) went to Mid Valley, our normal shopping place. we went Austin Chase for some coffee. i had this 'Hazelnut Latte'. tastes good. really! every coffee person should try it! itz really goood...

Yo! wussup?
after that we went to Robinson's for a stroll. my thought in mind is just to look around but then as we reached the baby section, our 'buy baby things' feelings bursts out. the place is too interesting. there were a lot of choices. and there is NUK! the brand that we find hard to find. so come here if u want to find some NUK product range. we spent quite some time there, JUST at the baby section. looking at this and that... comparing this and that... we end up just buying 3 items - babies' car shade, nappy rash ointment, and a couple of bottle nipples. owhh! we also bought zara a teether from Isetan b4 the coffee. =D

abah bought tickets for Clash of the Titans at the TGV Premier. original plan is, only abah, mama, sarah and adek to watch. it end up me switching with mama coz mama's sleepy after dinner and itz not her kind of movie. so mama followed wifey and zara home - with hope of watching korean drama on astro.

my verdict on the movie... i prefer 300. i say 300 it much better. the story line is interesting and all but ... i wont spoil the details. so dont worry if u havent watch it :)

after the movie, we packed dinner near the house and head home. (my 2nd dinner for the day) "imma be... imma be... imma imma imma be..." *inside  joke*
